Firstly, welcome to the World Transformation Movement on Substack!!
For those new to our work, it might be helpful to firstly understand what the World Transformation Movement is about. This summary, taken from the World Transformation Movement’s website, is very helpful:
“The WORLD TRANSFORMATION MOVEMENT (WTM) is a global not-for-profit charity that promotes Australian biologist JEREMY GRIFFITH’s breakthrough resolution of the underlying problem in all human affairs of the HUMAN CONDITION — thereby ending human conflict and suffering at its source, and providing the now urgently needed road map for the complete transformation of our lives and world!
To elaborate, Charles Darwin’s concept of natural selection explained the origin of the great variety of life on Earth, but there biology has been stalled, unable to take the next step and explain the origin of human nature, in particular explain our ‘good and evil’-conflicted human condition! But humanity is stalled no longer because biologist Jeremy Griffith has finally solved this age-old riddle of riddles of the human condition! And, most wonderfully, his answer, which is all available for free here on this website, defends and dignifies humans in the most remarkable way. It lifts the burden of guilt, making possible our species’ psychological rehabilitation. It brings about the real repair — in fact, the TRANSFORMATION — of ourselves and our planet!”
Further background on Jeremy Griffith and what the World Transformation Movement is about.
Jeremy Griffith began writing about the human condition in 1975, continuing to do so every day up to the present — over 40 years of dedicated work focused solely on stopping the suffering in the world.
In 1983 Jeremy established the Centre for Humanity’s Adulthood for the study of the human condition as an independent institution because, as he explains in his work, what is being introduced is a new, inductive-based scientific paradigm which confronts rather than mechanistic science’s historic practice of avoiding the issue of the human condition. In 1991 the Centre was incorporated as the Foundation for Humanity’s Adulthood and since 2009 it has been known as the WORLD TRANSFORMATION MOVEMENT (WTM).
As the great South African philosopher Sir Laurens van der Post, who is the author most quoted in Jeremy’s work, once said, ‘We really know nothing about the nature of man, and unless we hurry to get to know ourselves we are in dangerous trouble’ (Jung and the Story of Our Time, 1976, p.239 of 275). The World Transformation Movement is about precisely this all-important elusive knowledge regarding the nature of us humans.
We highly recommend watching or reading THE Interview of Jeremy Griffith by Craig Conway for a powerful, short introduction to this work and how it solves the human condition.
The difficult nature of the human condition
Although it is the underlying issue in all human affairs, and the issue that had to be addressed for there to be a future for the human race, this issue of the human condition has been an extremely difficult and fearful subject for humans to face as it is brings into focus thesubject of ‘self’.
When the renowned Harvard biologist E.O. Wilson wrote, ‘There is no grail more elusive or precious in the life of the mind than the key to understanding the human condition’ (The Social Conquest of Earth, 2012, p.1), he was making this point that while ‘understanding the human condition’ is the most ‘precious’ ‘grail’ of science, it is also the most ‘elusive’ ‘grail’ because the subject is the most difficult of all subjects for humans to engage with.
The World Transformation Movement is about helping to facilitate that process of engagement, by firstly introducing Jeremy’s insights to the world, and then helping us all adapt to the inevitable shock of change that the arrival of understanding of the human condition brings.
A helpful video presentation introducing the World Transformation Movement and Jeremy Griffith
In the following 2009 video, world-renowned mountaineer, twice-honoured Order of Australia recipient and WTM patron Tim Macartney-Snape gives a helpful Introduction to what the World Transformation Movement is about.
Why the name: ‘World Transformation Movement’?
The World Transformation Movement works tirelessly to promote Jeremy’s work to ensure its now desperately needed psychologically liberating and transforming effects reach everyone. Indeed, it is called the World Transformation Movement because the most marvellous effect of having understanding of the human condition is that all our species’ psychologically upset angry, egocentric & alienated behaviour can now, immediately, be put aside, and eventually, over a few generations, completely disappear, thus bringing about the complete rehabilitation and transformation of the human race and thus of our planet.
The World Transformation Movement’s Global Reach
The World Transformation Movement is represented by organisations and centres, founded by people who have developed a deep appreciation of the reconciling understanding of the human condition, all around the world.

Just totally and utterly fascinating introduction to the WTM and Biologist Jeremy Griffith.
Tim's video introductory explanation is stunning, top-notch and incredibly precious, concluding with his climbing rope analogy of the human condition untangled and the extraordinary simplicity of Jeremy’s furniture. As a one time furniture maker, Jeremy’s furniture designs and furniture are, to me, simply, "next level", out-of-the-box beautiful, functional and timeless- the hallmark of perfection. Finally, humanity are on the road to "a perfect life" with full understanding of our human condition.
Looking forward to a lot of interesting information.
